两者机械设计理念不同
CB级是由断路器组成,而断路器是以分断电弧为已任,要求它的机械应快速脱扣。因而断路器的机构存在滑扣、再扣问题;而PC级产品不存在该方面问题。PC级产品的可靠性远高于CB级产品。

断路器不承载短路耐受电流,触头压力小供电电路发生短路时,当触头被斥开产生限流作用,从而分断短路电流;而PC级ATS应承受20Ie及以上过载电流。触头压力大不易被斥开,因而触头不易被熔焊。这一特性对消防供电系统尤为重要。
双电源在转换过程中存在电源叠加问题
PC级双电源切换装置充分考虑了这一因素。PC级ATS的电气间隙、爬电距离的180%、150%(标准要求)。因而PC级ATS**性更好。

断路器常常选择银钨、银碳化钨材料配对,这有利于分断电弧。但该类触头材料易氧化,备用触头长期暴露在外,在其表现易形成阻碍导电、难驱除的氧化物,当备用触头一但投入使用,触头温升增高易造成开关烧毁甚至爆炸;而PC级ATS充分考虑了触头材料氧化带来的后果,尤其是日本共立的ATS其接点有硅合金制成,高度抗燃烧,而且当开关运行时,每一次接触自滑触点可以清理灰尘和氧化,这大大提高了ATS的使用寿命,降低了风险。
